I was telling my housemate earlier today that I would like to stop masturbating. There are many reasons why. I will enlist and elaborate upon them later.
As of now, my masturbation free days have begun.
I am afraid of losing the habit, for It is not just an activity being lost, it is a part of my identity, my self-identification. Thus, it is a little death. Anything we have spent a lengthy time, in this case years, emotion, sweat and care investing in, becomes part of our global identity and an attachment. Think of a sports player for instance. This activity of playing sport is a salient identity in their list of identities and roles.
Intellectual disquisition aside.
