What is a ‘Pornosexual’ and are YOU one? | Daily Mail Online

The birth of the Internet has given more people access to free online porn, enabling them to fulfill their sexual urges with no need for another person in the room. Now researchers claim it has given rise to a new phenomenon called ‘pornosexuality’ – when a person prefers porn to sex.According to Medical Daily, the new term describes a person whose ‘sexual orientation is linked solely to porn’.

… sex addiction therapist and licensed marriage and family therapist, Christine Lozano, told the website: ‘The convenience of getting off online without the potential work, vulnerability, intimacy, and connection with others can be appealing to some.

… men are considered to use porn more frequently than women, this increases their chances of identifying as pornosexuals.

…the new term differs ‘from other sexual orientations because it’s a learned behavior that is void of human-to-human attachment bonding and connection’.

… watching porn on a regular basis increases a person’s susceptibility to becoming a pornosexual, as their brain and body become desensitised.

… A pornosexual describes somebody whose ‘sexual orientation is linked solely to porn’It means that, given the choice, they would prefer to watch porn than to have sex with another individual

… ‘If I had to choose to have one or the other for the rest of my life, I would choose porn over real sex any day.’…

  1. My wife lost all interest in sex about 15 to 20 years ago. I am a lifelong masturbator an porn addict now in my 80s. The availability of porn on the Internet and my wife’s lost of interest in sex has increase my pornsexual masturbation. While I was taught as a Catholic that masturbation and pornography was wrong and sinful I got into the habit at 12 and never could stop as much as I tried. I knew way back when I should find something else to do than masturbate but the more I did the more I wanted to do it more. Now I guess I am a pornsexual.

  2. Never lose all your guilt. It provides a special “spice” to add to your chronic masturbation. I love wallowing in my guilt/shame/humiliation with another pathetic masturbator like you.

  3. Yes I’m a pornosexual masturbator. I started watching porn several years ago and quickly got hooked. I didn’t have a girlfriend at the time and I’ve never had erectile dysfunction. Part of porn’s appeal for me is not having to deal with a relationship. Porn is so easy and convenient. Selfish, I know, but true. Porn has shown me, too, that I’m bisexual. While I was chasing pussy and getting into all kinds of messy relationships with women, including a bad marriage, I was repressing my desire for cock. I love to stroke to cock and given the chance to suck or jerk a nice one, I’m sure I would. I define aberrant behavior as behavior harmful to others or one’s self. As a pornosexual masturbator I deal with guilt over how much time I spend masturbating to porn, but I’m not sure the time spent is actually harmful and I know the guilt comes from my strict Catholic upbringing. These days I’m just trying to accept myself as I am.
