group “Just Say No to Fucking”. We are married guys who have given up

Situations are different. My wife and I have an extremely close

Speculation on my part.  I think it has more to do with nature’s design than anything else.  First, in nature without medicine and technology, we probably would only live to be about 30.  That’s why we are sexually mature at age 11 or 12 so we can reproduce and raise children before dying.  In the 1800s, it was common for the legal age for marriage to be 10 to 12 for a woman.
Nature is conservative and brutal.  Once a woman is beyond childbearing age, she’s useless to have around and Nature doesn’t want men wasting time and sperm having sex with women who can’t have children.  Men are predisposed and attracted to younger fertile women.  Older women do serve a purpose in a social organization and they can be seen in primitive societies as taking care of children and doing chores for the family and tribe.  It might even be argued that natural selection was predisposed to having such women who lost their sex drives as beneficial to the family and tribe while excluding them as competition with the younger females.
To insure that a woman gets pregnant with good-quality sperm, she takes longer to orgasm and can handle more than one man during the sex act.  A man’s role is to impregnate as many women as possible, so his time during sex is quicker and he recovers in a short while to do it again with another woman.  A monogamous relationship may have benefits in a society but from nature’s strict goal of reproducing, it’s not.  Having multiple sex partners is the best way to reproduce.
This helps explain my ex-wife’s interest in having sex again if she wasn’t satisfied the first time.  In trying to make sure she enjoyed sex to the fullest, I was denying myself subsequent sexual encounters for a few days.
Again, speculation because I haven’t conducted scientific tests but it is based on a lifetime of reading and observing, so I think there’s some validity here.
