College students and sperm donors

… One University of Wisconsin junior who studies computer science and is an All-American athlete says his donations to SpermBrokerage keep him enrolled in school.

“My friends suggested it as a joke but I was considering it even before they said anything,” the donor said. “Since the NCAA doesn’t allow me to hold a job during the school year, this was one of the few ways I could actually make money to support myself while school’s in session.”

Since many college men are uncomfortable when they first begin making sperm donations, sperm bank staff members (usually female) work to create calming and sexy environments featuring private rooms, dim lighting, plush chairs, porn magazines and X-rated videos.

“To [the donors] the idea of masturbating for money is a little weird at first,” Low said. “To masturbate in a strange place, pornography is kind of necessary.”…

A Study of Adolescent Boys’ Responses to “Semenarche” (The First Ejaculation).

Questionnaire and interview findings from 36 white middle-class adolescent boys found that the first ejaculation was psychologically meaningful but socially invisible. Those who felt more prepared expressed more positive feelings and coped better. Psychosocial and developmental difficulties in sexual education for young males are discussed. (SLD)

Contradictions and taboos surrounding American males’ experiences of first ejaculation (semenarche)

One development of male early adolescence that has received scant research attention is first ejaculation, also known as “semenarche.” Preliminary findings across the first ejaculation research indicate a cultural taboo is firmly in place in contemporary America (Adegoke, 1993; Downs & Fuller, 1991; Gaddis & Brooks-Gunn, 1985; Shipman, 1971; Stein, 1990; Stein & Reiser, 1994). Without taking this taboo into account, it is difficult to understand why the majority of American males report high levels of interest but very low levels of communication about the experience (Tables 1 and 2), and why parents and other adults rarely talk with early adolescent boys about first ejaculation. The purpose of this paper is to provide additional data to support the existence of a first ejaculation taboo.

This paper appears to be the first to review the existing studies of first ejaculation (Adegoke, 1993; Downs & Fuller, 1991; Gaddis & Brooks-Gunn, 1985; Kinsey, Pomeroy, & Martin, 1948; Shipman, 1971; Stein, 1990; Stein & Reiser, 1994). Although the research is scant, a few trends can be identified. First, American boys report high levels of interest but low levels of communication about first ejaculation. Studies are unequivocal on this point. For the vast majority of American adolescent males, their response to the experience–whether they felt surprised, prepared, fearful, curious, or happy–is cloaked in silence. Although many are curious, the vast majority of boys tell no one (Tables 1, 2, and 3). One researcher explained: “Many of them tried to hide the stains on sheets and pajamas; they were consumed with wonder and curiosity but dared not ask about it” (Shipman, 1971, p. 333). One participant in another study recalled, “I was curious to see–I wasn’t expecting to have sex or anything. It was just generally–I didn’t know exactly how–would it happen again? It had never happened before” (Stein & Reiser, 1994, p. 378). These contradictory responses–interest and silence–appear to occur regardless of whether first ejaculation was a result of nocturnal emission or masturbation.

Boys and First Ejaculation (Semenarche)

“When I had my first wet dream, I had no idea what was going on. I thought I had wet my bed. It was a really strange feeling for me. I remember liking the dream, but I felt very embarrassed. I thought that maybe I had some sort of psychological problem. And who was I going to ask about it– my mother?”

The most mysterious and least discussed changes that boys experience with puberty are the maturation of the primary sex characteristics, or the genitals and reproductive system. In addition to growth, boys experience a more radical change: the first ejaculation. This is said to be an invisible event because it lacks a formal name and is rarely discussed. Recently researchers began using the term, “semenarche,” to refer to the first ejaculation. Relatively little is known about how boys understand and interpret this event.

Boys typically experience the first ejaculation as a result of masturbation or a nocturnal emission (or “wet dream”). In one of the few research studies of semenarche, James Stein and Lynn Whisnant Reiser (of the University of Wisconsin Medical School and Yale University Medical School, respectively) found that many boys were unprepared for the event. Like Chad, the boy from the opening paragraph, three-quarters of the boys studied were surprised. One-half were confused and more than two-thirds were curious about the experience. Boys knowledge about semenarche influenced how they interpreted the experience. Boys viewed semenarche more positively and felt more comfortable with their bodies when they were prepared for the event by education from parents and teachers.

Unfortunately discussions about semenarche are rare. More than two-thirds of the boys surveyed did not feel prepared and only one-third viewed parents as important sources of information about sexuality. Boys who felt unprepared for semenarche were more likely to report feeling confused, upset, scared, and out of control afterwards. The difficulties boys have in discussing their feelings and experiences are compounded by the messages that they receive about what it means to be a male in our society. Men are supposed to be cool, confident, strong, and silent. Discussions of feelings and emotions are discouraged. Men don’t admit their vulnerabilities. Boys are encouraged to turn their emotions inward and remain silently confused and curious.

Secrets of the Phallus: Why Is the Penis Shaped Like That?

Secrets of the Phallus- Why Is the Penis Shaped Like That– Scientific American

Evolutionary psychologists decipher the "Rosetta stone" of human sexuality

By Jesse Bering

If you’ve ever had a good, long look at the human phallus, whether yours or someone else’s, you’ve probably scratched your head over such a peculiarly shaped device. Let’s face it—it’s not the most intuitively shaped appendage in all of evolution. But according to evolutionary psychologistGordon Gallup of the State University of New York at Albany, the human penis is actually an impressive “tool” in the truest sense of the word, one manufactured by nature over hundreds of thousands of years of human evolution. You may be surprised to discover just how highly specialized a tool it is. Furthermore, you’d be amazed at what its appearance can tell us about the nature of our sexuality.  … more

Cumming on females

a lady said:

Am I the only straight female under 40 in this group?  And I have a
question for all the guys, what is the turn on for a guy to cum on a
woman? – I personally think it is disrespectful for a guy to cum on a
womans face but yet all men seem to enjoy cumming on both pics and
women.  Thanks.

Science Fair Ejaculation

Science Fair Ejaculation

By Rob W, 1996

A boy ejaculates for the girls’ science fair project

sciencefair When I was about 14 or 15 years old, I was approached by my cousin and one of her girlfriends who asked for my help in what they described as a science fair project. They were planning a demonstration for their biology club science fair and needed some semen. They had planned to use animal semen but decided it would be more fun to use a human male instead, but now needed a supplier. I was at first so embarrassed, I said no almost immediately. But later than night, I got so aroused thinking about it, that I called my cousin up and said that we could talk about it the next day.

Next day I offered to “provide a sample,” but she said that their project required the sample to be fresh so that they could study it under a microscope. They then planned to take a series of photographs of the sperm to accompany their exhibit of reproductive biology. I then agreed to go over to her friend’s house later that evening, assuming that I would be asked to disappear into the bathroom for the production phase of the project, returning with the substance they proposed to study and photograph. By now I was so aroused I could not keep my throbbing penis down.

That evening they were joined by a third girl, who said that they would like to watch how an ejaculation occurred, grinning that their reasons were “purely scientific.” Since it was now quite to my sexual advantage to indulge the fiction of scientific motives, I agreed. We went into the dining room (obviously the family was out) and I was asked to undress to my briefs, and then get up on the dining room table on my hands and knees, and then spread by legs and stick my penis through the fly of my briefs. College students and sperm donors

…College students comprise 90 percent of American sperm donors. Why? They’re smart, cute and virile — everything a would-be mom wants.

Jeff Salkin was struggling to pay his bills when he saw an ad that seemed too good to be true: a clinic would pay him to masturbate.  …. more College students and sperm donors | AskStudent
