Richmond, VA (1140wrva.com) - Henrico police have linked a man arrested for exposing himself in a West End Starbucks with three other incidents along the West Broad corridor. Thirty-seven year old Christopher Scheu was arrested July 20th after exposing himself to a woman at the Starbucks on Broad Street near West End Drive. Henrico police Lt. Doug Perry says detectives over the last month have been able to link him to three other similar incidents… one in January at the Pita Pit in Innsbrook, and two others in June in Short Pump. One of them was at the Barnes and Noble June 14th, and the next about two weeks later at the Starbucks at the Shoppes At Westgate.
Perry says they’ve had seven exposure incidents in total along West Broad since December. All the incidents had similar suspect descriptions. Perry says they’ve been able to accumulate the evidence to pin four of them on Scheu, and the other three are in the “inactive” file until evidence arises where they can connect Scheu to those.
Scheu, who lives on North Cleveland Street in Richmond’s Museum District, is charged with four counts of indecent exposure and four counts of public masturbation. He was caught in the July exposure incident when a Henrico police officer happened to be near the store and arrested him very shortly after.
